Job summary

Capital One seeks a Manager to partner with business customers and drive strategic direction for Auto FP&A. You will build analytical frameworks, tell executive stories, and lead a team to deliver insights that shape decisions.

You will design CCAR support, run P&L sensitivities, and quantify the financial impact of initiatives while mentoring analysts in a hybrid, 3-days-in-office arrangement in Plano, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
• 5+ years experience in financial analysis, modeling, or related field.
• 1+ year experience managing an FP&A function.
• Strong influence, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau or QuickSight, and familiarity with emerging AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design robust analytical frameworks to diagnose PPNR trends and P&L impacts.
• Translate financial models into executive stories for senior audiences.
• Quantify financial implications and optimize business performance with analytics.
• Structure ad-hoc requests into clear methodologies and plans.
• Mentor junior analysts and raise technical standards.
• Model regulatory stress testing and capital planning for CCAR.
• Run P&L sensitivities to inform leadership decisions.
• Deliver portfolio health assessments through performance comparisons.
• Prioritize and complete high-volume analyses while managing stakeholders.
