Job summary

Grantham Hospital, part of the Hospital Authority, invites applications for a Manager (Facility Management). The role leads a team of building services and clerical staff and oversees project consultants and contractors to maintain facilities and safety across operations.

You will monitor O&M budgets, prepare inspection and progress reports, coordinate with safety officers, and support capital works across the cluster.

Qualifications

Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies or Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent.
8 years of relevant experience.
Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).

Responsibilities

To lead a team of technical and clerical staff in managing and tackling all building facilities related matters.
To supervise and monitor the performance of project consultants and contractors.
To provide technical supports on management of minor works projects.
To monitor progress of site works and controlling of works materials and workmanships.
To monitor the budget of operational and maintenance (O&M) works and minor works projects.
To coordinate with Safety Officers of contractors, Safety Auditor of consultants and other parties for monitoring of site safety performance.
To provide technical supports to cluster hospitals on facilities management.
To prepare and submit inspection and progress reports to hospital management.
To work according to duty roster, attend emergency calls and perform shift duty and typhoon / black rainstorm duties.
Perform any other duties as required to facilitate implementation of capital works projects of the department including site supervision of construction works.
To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Salary: HK$58,922 — HK$88,971 (HGPS point 24 – 33) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Requirements

| 1. | A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies or Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent;
| 2. | 8 years of relevant experience; and
| 3. | Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).

Preferable Attributes Exposure

| 1. | (a) Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language(Syllabus B) in HKCEE OR (b) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSE.
| 2. | Formal training in occupational safety and health.
