The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients, visitors, and staff. The Environmental Services Area Manager functions to support the cleanliness and aesthetics of the Medical Center.
The Environmental Services Area Manager is responsible for guiding the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department and leading the Environmental Services Supervisors and Custodial Workers in the cleaning of the Medical Center, demonstrating service excellence, and adhering to Medical Center and department policies and procedures. The Environmental Services Department responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning inpatient and outpatient areas, offices, labs, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairs and outside entrances, as well as other functions associated with the day-to-day operations of the facilities.
The Environmental Services Area Manager is responsible for actively promoting the Facilities Services Image Program in support of service excellence; 360‑degree effective communication (with customers, manager, direct reports and peers), operational supervision of all personnel assigned that are associated with the day-to-day operations; inspecting, assessing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating personnel performance in their assigned area.
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
