Environmental Services - Custodial Worker 2 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is involved in maintaining clean, safe spaces across the East Hospital area. Under supervision, you apply advanced cleaning methods and complete project work to meet health, safety, and customer satisfaction standards.

The role supports patients, students, staff and visitors with attention to detail, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Six months custodial work desired or equivalent experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Reading and writing basic vocabulary is a plus.
• Completion of department specific advanced custodian certification programs recognized in the cleaning industry.

Job Description

Custodial Workers at the Wexner Medical Center work under general supervision from an administrative superior. They specialize in various advanced cleaning methods and/or project work in order to meet health, safety, regulatory, and customer satisfaction standards. You would play a meaningful role in maintaining safe and healthy environments for patients, students, student residents, staff, faculty and/or guests in a variety of settings.

Per Classified Civil Svc Specs Required Qualifications

• Six months custodial work desired and/or equivalent experience.
• Capability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• The ability to read and write common vocabulary is a plus.
• Successful completion of department specific advanced custodian certification testing (examples include Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM), S.M.A.R.T. Program, or other certification programs recognized in the cleaning industry as reputable).
