Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Manager, Professional Services to lead a team of post-sales technical experts and ensure high-value outcomes for customers in a fast-paced edge cloud environment. You will drive onboarding, migrations, go-live, and ongoing integration with customer stacks while coaching a distributed team across regions.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic alignment, and scalable delivery, with a strong focus on customer experience and retention across complex engagements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in professional services or equivalent customer-facing technical roles.
• 4+ years of people-management experience leading distributed teams.
• Exceptional communication, detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
• Broad technical expertise including cloud and Internet architectures; scripting/development experience.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings as necessary.
• Strong commercial and operational judgement for scoping, planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Professional Services Engineers and Architects.
• Set regional priorities and translate strategy into operating plans.
• Oversee delivery health across engagements, allocate resources and manage risk.
• Build relationships across Client Services, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Ops.
• Validate engagement scope, services effort, and commercial assumptions with Sales.
• Escalate complex issues and guide diagnostic and resolution efforts.
• Improve delivery workflows, SLAs, reporting and tooling using data.
