Job summary

Trinity Health in Melrose Park, IL, seeks a Manager of Diagnostic Imaging to provide strategic and operational leadership across imaging modalities. You will oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, and partner with physicians and leadership to enhance quality, safety, and patient care.

The role requires a proactive leader capable of balancing day-to-day tasks with long-term departmental goals and financial stewardship. Travel to offsite locations may be required as needed.

  • Oversee clinical student technologist rotating through the department.

About the Role

As the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for a comprehensive imaging department spanning multiple modalities. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving process improvement initiatives, ensuring exceptional quality and patient care, and managing departmental financial and human resources.

The Manager partners with physicians, technologists, and hospital leadership to enhance operational performance, optimize workflows, and support a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires a proactive leader who can balance day-to-day operational demands while advancing departmental goals, improving patient experiences, and achieving key quality, regulatory, and financial objectives.

Here’s what you’ll need
Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's degree - or equivalent training acquired via work experience
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • May require on-call, weekend, holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
  • 6-10 years management experience
  • Master's Degree
  • UKG scheduling or equivalent
  • EPIC, PAC experience or equivalent

Annual Salary Range: $96,782.40 - $159,700

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
