Pay Range

Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, and market factors. For positions classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), pay will be administered as an annual salary equivalent to the stated hourly range. Compensation may vary based on geographic location.

Position Purpose

The Manager, Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all operational, technical, and clinical functions within the department to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role supervises daily operations, establishes and monitors performance standards, manages staff and patient scheduling, oversees equipment and supply utilization, supports quality improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

The manager serves as both a leader and clinical resource, actively participating in patient care while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment. This position requires strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and operational management skills, including the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership and oversight of daily departmental operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional service.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate staffing, patient flow, schedules, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Monitor departmental quality metrics and lead continuous performance improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage equipment, inventory, and supply utilization, ensuring appropriate maintenance and availability of resources.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and professional role model, fostering staff engagement, accountability, professional development, and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives.
  • Lead and facilitate departmental communication, change management efforts, and the implementation of new processes and technologies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures in alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Imaging program.
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Radiologic Sciences, Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Diagnostic Imaging or Radiology services.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in an applicable imaging modality required.
  • Current CT state licensure required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements to maintain licensure and certification.
