Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking an Imaging Professional Support Supervisor to lead the Imaging Support Services team and ensure seamless patient experiences across modalities. In this role you will oversee daily operations, staffing, scheduling, coaching staff, and drive service excellence, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education.
  • 6-10 years of previous job-related experience.
  • Experience with imaging operations and service excellence in a health system.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of Imaging Support Services, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and staff development; coach performance and provide feedback.
  • Monitor performance metrics, ensure regulatory and departmental compliance, and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and leadership to optimize resources and patient flow.

About The Role

Under the direction of the Director Radiology, the Imaging Professional Support Supervisor leads the daily operations of the Imaging Support Services team for the region, including Dynamic Schedulers, Image Management, Service Representatives, and other administrative support staff. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and achievement of key performance metrics across all Imaging modalities. The Supervisor partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to drive efficiency, optimize workflows, and support a seamless patient experience. Responsibilities include staff leadership and development, performance management, policy compliance, budget monitoring, and continuous quality improvement. Success in this role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service while supporting the goals of the Imaging department.

Operations Management
  • Oversees daily operations, staffing, and scheduling to ensure efficient department performance and quality patient care.
  • Monitors productivity, performance metrics, and operational goals; implements process improvements as needed.
  • Conducts staff huddles, addresses operational issues, and ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
Leadership & Staff Development
  • Recruits, hires, trains, and develops imaging staff.
  • Provides coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Promotes professional development, ongoing education, and a culture of accountability and excellence.
Scheduling & Resource Management
  • Oversees scheduling operations to maximize patient access and department efficiency.
  • Maintains scheduling workflows, templates, and system utilization.
  • Collaborates with physicians and leadership to optimize resources and patient flow.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Minimum Experience Required
  • 6-10 years of previous job-related experience

Pay Range: $25.7100 -$41.1400 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
