Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Colorado) is seeking an experienced leader to own and advance the data analytics and reporting function for the Customer Energy and Transportation Solutions unit. You will lead a team delivering insights, regulatory reporting, and data management across the portfolio.

You will partner with business and technology teams, shape the analytics roadmap, oversee descriptive and predictive analyses, and translate data into actionable business recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• Seven years of progressive experience in data analytics, BI, reporting, data science or data engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and translating complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead data analytics and reporting function for Customer Energy and Transportation Solutions
• Manage a team delivering actionable insights, portfolio and regulatory reporting, analytical solutions, and data management practices
• Partner with business leaders, functional teams, technology organizations, and enterprise data groups to understand needs and prioritize investments
• Establish and execute the business unit's analytics and data science roadmap
• Oversee descriptive, predictive, and forward-looking analyses
• Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations
• Lead, develop, and prioritize the work of analytics and data support professionals
• Establish team goals, allocate resources, manage performance, build capabilities, and maintain a delivery roadmap
• Lead development and delivery of recurring, portfolio-level, regulatory, operational, and marketing performance reporting

• Oversee business-unit data requirements, reporting datasets, and analytical solutions
• Partner with technology teams on scalable database and platform needs
• Guide development of smaller-scale data solutions, automation, and reporting enhancements

• Establish practices improving data quality, integrity, ownership, documentation, and appropriate use

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, business, economics, engineering, or a related field
• Seven years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data science, data engineering, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives and translating complex data into actionable business insights
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, project management, and analytical skills
• Ability to influence decision-making across multiple business functions
• 3 yrs energy or utility experience preferred
