Summary

Point Broadband is looking for an energetic and results-oriented Manager of IS/Security. This role will be responsible for managing application security testing and consulting, vulnerability management, cybersecurity engineering, and administration of designated cybersecurity systems and processes. The candidate will collaborate with IT support staff and management.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee the system security program and policies for internal and production networks.
  • Ensure compliance with current cybersecurity policies when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing systems.
  • Develop and implement security education, training, and awareness programs.
  • Document and address the organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Conduct briefings for internal leadership and external partners on cybersecurity requirements and standards.
  • Design Cloud Security in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure policy compliance.
  • Lead the remediation of security deficiencies and communicate security posture to the team.
  • Share advanced knowledge of offensive security testing techniques and tools.
  • Oversee the selection, design, deployment, and support of cybersecurity technologies and processes.
  • Standardize procedures for security controls and ensure thorough documentation.
  • Develop and enforce security standards aligning with company policies.
  • Administer security policies, standards, and procedures, maintaining high compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Change Control processes and SLAs, leading compliance efforts.
  • Identify and remediate compliance and vulnerability risks.
  • Maintain current knowledge of host, network, and security protocols.
  • Enhance collaboration and communication across departments to resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Use data insights to drive strategic improvements.
  • Assess migration and upgrade impacts, providing expert guidance on resolving complex issues.
  • Ensure continuous operation and reliability of cybersecurity services, aiming for 24x7 availability.
  • Manage vulnerability and patch processes in alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications And Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years in a senior technical role with expertise in IT and cybersecurity systems.
  • Experience in designing and launching high-capacity transport networks.
  • Broad network engineering and architecture knowledge, including internet and data center topologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric focus.
  • 7+ years in a service provider network environment with leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership and hands-on expertise in information security.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of OS and network security practices.
  • Ability to prioritize security issues based on impact.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex information.
  • Continuous involvement in security solution development and implementation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux security frameworks.
  • Leadership in security policy development and team collaboration.
  • Expertise in network concepts and technologies.
