As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Senior Director of Content Strategy to lead and elevate our content initiatives.

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced and data-driven Senior Director of Content Strategy to oversee the development and execution of our content strategy across multiple platforms. This role requires a strong background in managing large, cross-functional teams, with a deep understanding of the health and fitness industry, seasonal content trends, and the importance of data to drive editorial decisions. You will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of content that speaks directly to our audience while aligning with the business’s overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Content Strategy:Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with V Shred's brand, vision, and business objectives, including seasonal content initiatives and targeted campaigns.
• Team Leadership:Manage, mentor, and inspire a diverse content team, including writers, video producers, and other creatives. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the content department.
• Data-Driven Decisions:Use data and performance analytics to continuously refine content strategies, identify audience trends, and improve content performance across platforms (social, email, website, and paid media).
• Editorial Oversight:Oversee the creation of high-quality editorial content, ensuring it aligns with V Shred's voice, brand guidelines, and industry standards. Provide editorial leadership for both written and video content, ensuring consistency and excellence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with the marketing, product, and design teams to ensure content supports product launches, promotions, and customer engagement strategies. Ensure all content aligns with overall marketing and business objectives.
• Seasonal Programming:Develop and implement content plans based on seasonal trends and fitness cycles, ensuring that content remains timely, relevant, and audience-focused throughout the year.
• Video Production:Supervise the video production team and collaborate with them to create engaging video content that complements written articles and other forms of media. Ensure the production of high-quality, impactful video content that resonates with V Shred's audience.
• Innovation and Trendspotting:Stay up-to-date on emerging content trends in health, fitness, and wellness. Constantly explore new ways to engage our audience with innovative and creative content formats.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in content strategy and leadership roles, with at least 3-5 years of experience managing content for large teams.
• Extensive experience in the health, wellness, or fitness space is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of data analytics and performance metrics, with the ability to adjust content strategies based on insights.
• Proven experience in both editorial content creation and video production. A background in managing writing teams and video production teams is a major plus.
• Deep understanding of seasonality and the ability to program content that aligns with trends, fitness cycles, and consumer behavior.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong project management skills and experience with content production workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
