Job summary

Panorama Eyecare in Fort Collins seeks a Manager, Clinical Research to lead and oversee clinical studies, ensuring ethical, compliant trials and high-quality patient care. You will supervise study teams, coordinate budgets, and partner with sponsors, IRBs, and laboratories to advance eye care through research initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent verbal and written communication, and familiarity with GCP/NIH guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • COA/COT and/or CCRC certifications required.
  • Two+ years of leadership/management experience in a research setting preferred.
  • Ability to learn and follow multiple study protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform study-related testing, consenting participants, dispensing study product, scheduling visits, completing source documentation, distributing stipends, and communicating with participants.
  • Promote clinical research studies and recruit patients to meet enrollment goals.
  • Manage research staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, with integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate communication and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, IRBs, and labs.
  • Ensure protocol compliance in all aspects of study conduct.
  • Attend Investigator Meetings and research conferences.
  • Negotiate budgets to ensure fair compensation for ECNC and study participants.
  • Oversee IP accountability and maintenance and reconcile study payments.

Position Overview

As the Manager, Clinical Research at Panorama Eyecare, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality eye care while supporting clinical trials. You will collaborate with a team that values partnership, engagement, excellence, and stewardship.

Role Description

The Manager, Clinical Research will contribute to the Eye Center’s mission by providing patients with quality care and access to novel drugs and devices through clinical trials in which the Eye Center participates. This individual ensures doctors can expand their practice as investigators through accurate and ethical studies.

Major Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all study patient care including performing study related testing, consenting participants, dispensing study product, scheduling visits, completing source documentation, distributing stipends, and communicating with participants.
  • Promotes clinical research studies and recruits patients to meet enrollment goals.
  • Manages research staff to ensure tasks are accomplished efficiently, with integrity, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitates communication and maintains positive relationships between ECNC and all Sponsors, IRBs, and labs.
  • Effectively communicates with other ECNC departments on study related matters.
  • Maintains all study specific and ECNC required logs.
  • Ensures protocol compliance in all aspects of study conduct.
  • Attends periodic Investigator Meetings and research conferences.
  • Negotiates budgets to ensure fair compensation for ECNC and study participants.
  • Works with study monitors to complete queries and action items.
  • Oversees IP accountability and maintenance.
  • Reconciles all study payments with budgets.
  • Creates source documentation that meets sponsor and regulatory standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Acquires skills necessary to perform each study.
  • Thorough understanding of the purpose of the research, and ability to acquire information pertinent to each study.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in handling various situations that arise during a clinical trial.
  • Effectively applies GCP in all aspects of clinical research.
  • Works independently on tasks and delegates when appropriate.
  • Trains ancillary research staff as needed.
  • Ensures GCP/NIH certification is maintained for all research staff.
  • Effectively prioritizes to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Accepts other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to accurate and ethical trial conduct.
  • Ability to learn and follow numerous study protocols simultaneously.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • COA/COT and/or CCRC required. All certifications must be maintained.
  • Two or more years of leadership/management experience in a research setting preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to be on feet and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without pain or restriction.
  • Ability to raise hands and arms to shoulder level without restriction, pain, or discomfort.
  • Ability to perform extended use of office and diagnostic equipment without pain or discomfort.

  • This is a Full‑Time Position.
  • Compensation: annual salary of $70,000-78,000 depending on experience/certification.
