Location: UP Health System – Marquette

Position Summary:

Develops and monitors quality management programs to improve healthcare delivery and clinical/disease process management within the medical group.

Reports to: Officer

FLSA: Exempt

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Manages departmental operations, including patient care, information technology, service levels, and complaint management, to meet performance and quality objectives.
  • Plans staffing activities: hiring, onboarding, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and ongoing education.
  • Prepares and monitors departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with funding.
  • Coordinates internal and external audits.
  • Fosters an environment of professional growth.
  • Ensures the department's role in the continuum of care is maintained and emphasized.
  • Maintains responsibility for the development and upkeep of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, handle stressful situations, take appropriate actions.
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan
  • Minimum Work Experience: 5 years in quality management; 1 year related experience (preferred)

  • Schedule: Day shift, 7-10 hours per shift, weekdays only
