Qualifications

Overview

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Sr. Manager, Clinical Account Executive to join our team!

The Sr. Manager, Clinical Account Executive is a highly motivated professional with at least 5 years of successful clinical experience interfacing directly with large complex clients. This key position is responsible for leading and developing Clinical Staff within the Account Management department as well as co-developing long-term account strategies for the clients assigned to the team they support. The SMCAE has exceptional clinical, business, and relationship-building skills and possesses the ability to apply sound clinical judgment to a variety of situations.

The position will represent the company at internal and external meetings. The position is a key member of the Clinical Account Team and is responsible for the account relationship, ultimate retention of the account, and growth of the business. This person would also be required to plan and allocate resources to effectively staff to maintain Navitus's superior client experience, including managing PTO requests. The ability to reason and translate clinical information into a manner appropriate for clinical and non-clinical audiences is critical to job success.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

  • Manage and support the team of SR-CAE’s, CAE’s, Clinical Coordinators, Clinical Quality Specialists assigned to them
  • Manage clinical relationships with clients
  • Support the creation and presentation of data for strategic Business Plans, VALUE Summaries, and Performance Standard reports
  • Develop and implement a clinical plan that meets the goals and objectives of the client and aligns with corporate business strategy
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance client outcomes
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource to the organization’s management team
  • Participate in developing the clinical strategy for clients
  • Consult on Plan/Benefit design recommendations
  • Establish and maintain client relationships at appropriate levels, including medical and pharmacy directors, CEOs, benefit managers, and consultants
  • Support and participate in P & T Committees for select clients
  • Consult on formulary management and administration
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of clinical programs and services
  • Lead/Facilitate multidisciplinary team discussions on client needs
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is required; PharmD and/or Residency Program preferred. Current licensure as a registered pharmacist in the state of the home office or the ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience and five years of leadership experience required
  • MBA or equivalent, and marketing experience are a plus
  • Knowledge of the PBM industry, PBM clinical programs, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles and practices is highly desired
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including use of tables, charts, and figures, is desirable
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
  • A minimum of 30% travel is required
