Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing leader to oversee the perioperative sterile processing areas and ensure efficient reprocessing and delivery of instruments across departments.

The role requires 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years in a leadership capacity; an Associate’s degree or equivalent is required, Bachelor's preferred. Certifications are advantageous. This on-site role offers growth within a collaborative health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years of leadership required.
• 7 years in Sterile Processing with leadership experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing and managing the sterile processing areas supporting perioperative services and coordinating the reprocessing of and delivery of items to other areas within the health care organization.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school Required or
• In Lieu of degree 2 years of work experience in addition to the work requirement listed below. Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience which must include tow (2) years of leadership experience Required or
• In lieu of degree seven (7) years of experience working as a Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech, 2 of which working in a leadership capacity will be considered Required
• Experience with process flow, plant/manufacturing operations, assembly line, and/or sterile processing department Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Central Service Processing Certification Preferred
• Certified Operating Room Technician Certification in Sterile Processing Management Preferred
