Job summary

A leading health care organization in Athens, Georgia is seeking a Central Sterile Manager to oversee the sterile processing areas and manage reprocessing and delivery of items within their health care system. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and leadership within a sterile processing or surgical tech role, and an associates degree or equivalent education. A preferred certification in Central Service Processing is also desired.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing and managing the sterile processing areas supporting perioperative services and coordinating the reprocessing of and delivery of items to other areas within the health care organization.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Associates degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school. In lieu of degree, a total of 7 years of experience working as a Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech, 2 of which working in a leadership capacity will be considered.

Minimum Experience Required: 5 years of relevant experience which must include 2 years of leadership experience.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: N/A

Additional Qualifications: Central Service Processing Certification preferred; Bachelors degree preferred; Certified Operating Room Technician Certification in Sterile Processing Management preferred; Experience with process flow, plant/manufacturing operations, assembly line, and/or sterile processing department preferred.
