Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee and optimize the sterile processing areas that support perioperative services.

The role emphasizes leadership, process flow, and compliance with certification standards; you will coordinate reprocessing and delivery of instruments across the health system, with opportunities to mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school is required.
• In lieu of degree 2 years of work experience in addition to the work requirement listed below is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years of leadership experience is required or
• 7 years of experience in Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech with 2 years in leadership will be considered.
• Experience with process flow, plant/manufacturing operations, assembly line, and/or sterile processing department is preferred.
• Central Service Processing Certification preferred.
• Certified Operating Room Technician Certification in Sterile Processing Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• 5 years of relevant experience which must include tow (2) years of leadership experience Required or
• In lieu of degree seven (7) years of experience working as a Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech, 2 of which working in a leadership capacity will be considered Required
• Experience with process flow, plant/manufacturing operations, assembly line, and/or sterile processing department Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Central Service Processing Certification Preferred
• Certified Operating Room Technician Certification in Sterile Processing Management Preferred
