This role is 100% remote, based in the United States or Canada.

Role Overview

As a Manager of Business Development in AMER, you will hire, onboard, and mentor outbound Business Development Representatives (BDRs), partner with the sales team, and drive pipeline and results. You will report to the Director, Business Development.

Responsibilities
  • Train BDR team members to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance during weekly 1:1s.
  • Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs.
  • Collaborate with Events and Digital teams on field events and campaigns.
  • Work with sales leadership to improve opportunity management and qualification processes.
  • Identify key accounts with sales teams for development.
  • Coordinate with marketing to develop effective outbound messaging.
Qualifications
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product.
  • Management experience is required; experience in driving new logos is a plus.
  • Experience managing teams working with commercial accounts.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Experience with CRM software (preferably Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of sales operations and marketing automation software is preferred.
  • Understanding of B2B software, open source, and developer products is a plus.
  • Passion for technology and learning about GitLab.
  • Willingness to learn GitLab and Git tools.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values.

Salary Range

The base salary range for residents in specified locations is $119,000—$175,000 USD, with incentive pay up to 100% of the base salary.
