Job summary

Hertz is seeking a Manager Analytics & Insights to analyze data across fleet management, pricing, customer behavior, and operations. You will build dashboards and reports to support data-driven decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue and efficiency.

You will mentor junior analysts, ensure data integrity, and drive analytics strategies in a fully remote role across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, business analytics or related field; 5 years experience in analytics or insights in rental car/travel sector.
• Alternative: Master’s degree and 3 years of experience accepted.
• Proficiency with data analysis and modeling tools: SQL, Python, Excel, R.
• Experience with data visualization platforms: Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience using PROS revenue management system.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data related to fleet management, ancillary product engagement, customer lifetime management, and operations to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations for key stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions.
• Understand customer behavior to identify areas to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Analyze market trends and customer demand to support growth and fleet strategies.
• Partner with Fleet Management to optimize vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and acquisition strategies via data insights.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to provide analytical support aligned with business goals.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data used for analysis and promote best practices.
• Work with Director of Analytics and Insights to execute strategy and mentor junior analysts.
• Position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Job description

The Manager Analytics & Insights will be responsible for analyzing data related to fleet management, ancillary product engagement, customer lifetime management, and operations to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

What You’ll Do:

• Support data initiatives in the rental cart industry by providing actionable insights that enhance fleet management, optimize pricing strategies, improve customer experiences, and drive operation efficiency.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations that provide insights to key stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Use data to understand customer behavior and preferences, identifying areas to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Work with operations teams to identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Assist in analyzing market trends and customer demand to support growth and fleet strategies that maximize profit.
• Collaborate with the Fleet Management team to optimize vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and acquisition strategies through data-driven insights.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Finance to provide analytical support and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for analysis, promoting best practices in data management.
• Work closely with the Director of Analytics and Insights to execute the analytics strategy and mentor junior analysts in the team.
• Position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

What We’re Looking For:

• A bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in data science, statistics, business analytics or related field and 5 years of experience as a Manager Analytics & Insights or related position performing data analysis, business intelligence, and model building, within the rental car industry or the travel sector. In the alternative, Hertz will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 3 years of experience.
• Experience with data analysis and modeling tools - Data analysis and modeling tools -- SQL, Python, Excel and R.
• Experience with Data visualization platforms -- Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience using statistical software to analyze data trends.
• Experience working within PROS revenue management system.
