Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Rental Analytics will drive strategic insights delivery and innovation by leading a high-performance team of Analysts and Data Scientists for Penske’s Rental Organization. This role is responsible for developing cutting‑edge AI/ML capabilities and delivering transformative insights that directly drive operational efficiency and strategic insight to senior leaders.
The Senior Manager will collaborate across the enterprise and closely with the Director to design, implement, and optimize predictive models focused on financial forecasting, workforce planning, capacity modeling, and fleet and process optimization. Beyond technical excellence, this role will cultivate team talent, foster a culture of continuous learning, and expand the strategic analytics capabilities across the organization.
This is an on‑site position located at our Corporate Office in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data science team in developing advanced analytical models and machine learning solutions
- Oversee data quality initiatives and data integration efforts
- Manage and perform data analysis in support of corporate, field, and customer‑based requests
- Coordinate across multiple IT and Rental teams to prioritise, develop and deploy AI/ML models within Rental processes and systems
- Maintain cutting‑edge capabilities through focus on strategic research and development
- Work closely with strategic partners and universities to align with research and industry best practices
- Contribute to advancing analytical standards and best practices
- Other projects or tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science
- Master's degree preferred in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, financial analytics, data analysis, project management, and leadership; statistical data analysis; knowledge of AS400 financial systems; excellent oral and written communication to senior leadership
- Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL or Visual Basic programming; proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint; predictive modeling and forecasting techniques
- Strong knowledge of advanced analytics, statistics, and machine learning
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities

- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Eager to grow and develop others through coaching and mentorship
- Professional leadership skills; able to manage 1‑5 direct reports
- Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
