Job summary

UMMC is seeking a Manager - Accounting at Central Billing Office-Clinton to lead the accounting operations, hire and mentor staff, and improve record keeping systems. The role focuses on grant or contract administration, payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger management.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of accounting experience; CPA or advanced degree is preferred. This is a full-time, day shift role with exposure to office environments.

  • Coordinates with internal and external customers to answer questions, convey information, and resolve accounting issues.

Job Summary

To examine, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures relevant to an assigned accounting area or unit such as grant or contract administration, cash disbursements and record, payroll, CAS systems, accounts payable, and general ledger. To manage and maintain existing accounting systems, including directing the activities of the accounting staff in the use of software.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' accounting experience

CPA, advanced degree or certification in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
