Job summary

Subway is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at our Troy location. You will focus on delivering an outstanding guest experience, ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and safety while controlling inventory and cash handling.

You will also recruit and train staff, coordinate local marketing, analyze sales records, and help drive promotional activities across peak periods to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and ensure great food is prepared and served.
• Keep the restaurant functional, clean and beautiful, and manage inventory and money control systems.
• Coordinate local marketing initiatives, recruit staff, and maintain safety and security standards.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
