Job summary

Tavistock Restaurant Collection in Boston is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead daily service across high-volume concepts. You will oversee floor operations, guest satisfaction, and team leadership to deliver polished hospitality.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service, high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house service standards, labor management, guest recovery, and shift operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Experience with wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day restaurant operations, including floor management, shift execution, guest recovery, reservations, pacing, and service standards.
  • Coach, train, and motivate servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff to deliver warm, attentive, and consistent hospitality.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence during service and model urgency, professionalism, and a guest-first mindset.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and team-member development.
  • Monitor labor, sales, inventory, cash handling, and other operational controls during assigned shifts.
  • Partner with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality food and beverage execution.
  • Support special events, promotions, and local community engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food-safety, alcohol-service requirements, and sanitation standards.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally while identifying opportunities to improve the overall guest experience.
