Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC seeks a Management Support Specialist to provide procurement and administrative support across departments. You'll process purchase orders, requisitions, and ERP entries; manage travel and conferences; and track expenditures from federal and trust funds.
The role requires one year of specialized experience at GS-07 level, with education options including a Master’s degree or two years of graduate study.
The Management Support Specialist provides procurement and administrative support to all departments throughout HMSG. This position also performs a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with financial management and procurement activities and a variety of administrative functions necessary to support the general operations, exhibitions, and public programs of HMSG.

You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience procuring a variety of goods and services; creating and processing purchase orders and requisitions in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; submitting receiving reports and invoices for payment; processing and tracking financial transactions; and maintaining office records and filing systems.
