Job summary

WR Berkley in Appleton, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Underwriter to manage renewal accounts for management liability, quote and bind submissions, and drive profitability. You will collaborate with regional teams and agency partners to promote growth and high service standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in management liability underwriting, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years of management liability underwriting or related experience.
• Experience contributing to a high performing marketing/sales team in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced product knowledge within the Management Liability suite (D&O, Cyber, EPL, Crime, Fiduciary, MPL).

Responsibilities

• Renewal accounts focus on underwriting and pricing risks per BMP rules.
• Own lifecycle of submissions: quoting, filing, binding, issuing and obtaining signed applications.
• Support underwriting best practices to ensure rating, profitability, and structuring adequacy.
• Assist underwriting teams with strategic initiatives and new projects.
• Engage agency personnel with superior customer service and build relationships with agents.
