Job summary

State of Delaware seeks a Management Analyst II to compile, validate, and verify vital records data from DELVERS, ensuring NCHS standards compliance under the VSC project. The role also involves DELVERS system administration, user training, and issue resolution.

The candidate will work with federal and state partners to ensure timely data submission and maintain data quality across multiple agencies.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in conducting studies evaluating operations, programs, or procedures.
• Six months experience in descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation).
• Six months experience interpreting laws, rules, and regulations.
• Six months experience in narrative report writing.
• Knowledge of designing studies with goals, data sources, and collection methods.
• Knowledge of recommending changes based on findings.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics (correlation, t-tests, ANOVA).

Responsibilities

• Interview agency staff and observe processes to collect data for evaluations.
• Analyze data to assess policies, procedures, and operations against goals.
• Develop solutions or alternate methods based on data analysis.
• Evaluate effectiveness of operations in meeting objectives.
• Provide technical assistance on management objectives and controls.
• Review relevant laws, regulations, and background material.
• Document findings and recommend new systems or procedures.
• May supervise Administrative staff as needed.
