Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in informatics, epidemiology, or public health, or minimum 5 years direct work experience in epidemiology or informatics.
• Strong SQL knowledge and ability to use reporting tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX concepts and Quality Improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and coordination skills.
• Experience in management analysis preferred; SQL and IIS experience highly desired.

This Management Analyst 4 position at the Arizona Department of Health Services supports the Arizona State Immunization Information System (ASIIS) by conducting testing, quality assurance, and usability evaluation of system applications and upgrades. The role involves recommending solutions to improve user interface experience, leading cross-functional meetings with internal teams and contractors, and designing training materials for clinics and health systems. The position requires technical proficiency in computer systems and works with independence under the direction of the ASIIS Program Manager.

Key qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in informatics, epidemiology, or public health, or minimum 5 years direct work experience in epidemiology or informatics
• Knowledge of SQL and relevant software/computer query and reporting tools
• Knowledge of User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) concepts and Performance Management/Continuous Quality Improvement methodologies
• Skill in analyzing complex problems, prioritizing work, and coordinating diverse activities to completion
• Three years of management analysis experience preferred; SQL and IIS experience highly desired
