Job summary

First Roles is seeking a Management Analyst for the Special Projects Group at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia. You will plan, organize, support, and execute the implementation and sustainment of Communities of Practice and Learning Cells within the Lifting and Handling domain.

You will analyze processes, propose organizational improvements, and assist with implementation and assessment of effectiveness, presenting trend data to teams and management.

Job description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Special Projects Group (Code 701S0, Deputy Lifting and Handling (L&H) Department (Code 701), Lifting and Handling Department (Code 700) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

You will plan, organize, support, and execute the implementation and sustainment of Communities of Practice and Learning Cells and other methods for Lifting and Handling department processes and programs.

You will be responsible for process analysis, formulation of recommendations on organizational improvements, assistance with organizational improvement implementation and follow-up assessment of improvement effectiveness.

You will analyze, evaluate and present information regarding trend analysis of metrics, data, processes and cultural program initiatives to teams and appropriate personnel.

You will collect and interpret data providing information, recommendations and proposed solutions to team members and management.

You will coordinate and track workshops, training and events focused on process improvement, cultural change and maximum use of human capital.

You will coordinate team initiatives and consensus building activities among team members, preparing reports and maintaining records.
