Ascension is offering a Summer Internship in the Actuarial and Managed Care Analytics department. This remote role supports the creation of analytic reporting and data queries across healthcare datasets.

You will assist with research for special projects, analyze utilization and costs, and ensure data accuracy while benchmarking market trends. Strong preference for students pursuing math, stats, economics, or healthcare-related studies.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited discipline program or high school diploma equivalency.
• Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, economics, or a healthcare-related field is strongly preferred.
• Healthcare knowledge, such as managed care and population health concepts, is preferred.
• Prior internship experience in a healthcare organization is preferred.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• None Required.

Education

• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.

Additional Preferences:

• Progress towards (or completion of) Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a healthcare-related field is strongly preferred.
• Healthcare industry knowledge, such as managed care and value based care concepts, population health and healthcare economics is strongly preferred.
• Prior internship experience in a healthcare organization is preferred.
