Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist Trainee in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Join a leader in women's health services with paid training and guaranteed employment upon passing the mammography registry. Ideal candidates will have completed a radiologic technology training program and hold ARRT certification in Radiography. Qualifications

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography.
• Must be in your final semester of Radiologic Technology program if a student.
• An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality.

Responsibilities

• Trains with preceptor to practice mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Assists the Radiologist in completing mammography exams, including breast biopsies.
• Produces high-quality films for evaluation by the radiologist.
• Communicates procedures effectively to patients and educates them on mammography.

Skills

Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Education

Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program

Current certification by ARRT in Radiography

Final semester of Radiologic Technology program (if student)

Here Is What You Will Need

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist Trainee

• Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique
• Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
• Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate
• Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health
• Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills
