Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board license (TMB) required.
• Continuing Education: 15 CEU every 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment for mammography procedures with high accuracy in positioning and exposure.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and educate about the importance of regular mammography.
• Provide patient-first care and maintain excellent customer service throughout interactions.

Mammography Technologist PRN

Work Location:

Webster, TX

Work Hours:

PRN/As Needed Monday-Friday, 6:30am-5:00pm and Saturdays 7:30am-3:00pm

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
