Job summary

Confidential Imaging Department provides mammography services to patients according to physician orders. The technologist prepares mammography rooms and diagnostic equipment, performs high-quality testing, and develops films while upholding MQSA/ACR standards.

The role requires professional judgment, ethics, and patient age-appropriate care to ensure accurate results. Applicants must have Washington Mammography certification by date of hire or be trainable with two years of radiology experience;

Qualifications

• State of Washington certification as Mammography Technologist required by date of hire or will train radiology technician with two years experience.
• Basic Life Support required by date of hire.
• Communication, problem solving skills, and consistent excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography images following clinical protocols and positions patient for optimal view.
• Develops films and ensures correct identification and labeling.
• Provides patient education and maintains patient confidentiality during procedures.
• Adheres to MQSA regulations and safety standards for radiation exposure.
