Job summary

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist - RT (M) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - ACC Breast Center. Day shifts on a rotating schedule with two Saturdays per year; rotates among multiple facilities including Siteman Cancer Center and Highlands Screening Center.

Performs screening, diagnostic, CEM, stereotactic and CEM biopsy procedures. Minimum requirements include an Associate’s Degree or trade school equivalency and R.T.(R)(M) registry.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade school equivalency is required.
• R.T. (R)(M) registry is required.
• No explicit experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs diagnostic imaging studies independently, including on-call and portable exams.
• Rotates between sites including Siteman Cancer Center, Center for Advanced Medicine, South County and Highlands Screening Center.

Position Details:

• Day Shift Hours: Mon – Fri at rotating shifts between 7am & 4:30pm with two Saturdays a year
• Rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced medicine Building with the option to also rotate to our South County, Highlands Screening Center , or the Mammography Van
• Screening, Diagnostics, Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM), stereotactic and CEM biopsies
• RT (M) Certification

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency
• R.T. (R)(M) registry

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
