Job summary

BJC HealthCare is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist - RT (R) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - ACC Breast Center. The position includes performing screening and diagnostic mammograms and assisting with biopsy procedures.

Day shifts run Mon–Fri with rotating start times, at multiple sites including Siteman GCW Building and Center for Advanced Medicine, with potential rotation to additional centers. Preferred qualifications include RT (R) registry; willingness to train for Mammography (M).

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency required.
• R.T. (R) registry preferred, training may be provided.
• Willing to Train for Mammography (M).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms and supports localizations, stereotactic and CEM biopsies as needed.
• Works in rotating sites including Siteman GCW Building, Center for Advanced Medicine, and affiliated centers.

Additional Information About The Role

• Day Shift Hours: Mon - Fri at rotating shifts between 7am & 4:30pm with two Saturdays a year
• Location: Rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced medicine Building with the option to also rotate to our South County, Highlands Screening Center , or the Mammography Van
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, with the ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies.
• RT (M) Certification - preferred but not required
• Willing to Train for Mammography (M)

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
