Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience in a hospital.
• Minimum 2 years of Mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, confirming patient identity.
• Gather relevant history, screen contraindications, and explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy and comfort while positioning and assisting with transfers.
• Review images for quality and ensure first-time acceptance before release.
• Operate equipment safely, optimize dose, and maintain infection-control practices.
• Complete QC tests and maintain records to support accreditation and tracking.
• Label, orient, and document images in PACS/RIS; complete daily charge capture.
• Provide clear pre-/post-exam instructions and train new team members as needed.
