Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams. You will work under the Radiologist or Manager to deliver data for diagnostic purposes.

The role requires imaging proficiency, patient care excellence, and adherence to safety standards within a full-time Monday–Friday Day shift. Eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in Breast and Bone Density Imaging while adhering to department protocol and ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Performs exams including Breast and Bone Density imaging; evaluates image quality; performs post-processing and records patient ID.
• Provides optimal patient care and addresses patient needs during procedures.
• Applies patient safety principles during all aspects of patient care.
• Identifies and responds to emergency situations appropriately.
• Adheres to aseptic techniques and hand washing policies.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Job Summary

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams and procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. The Mammography Technologist works under the direction of a Radiologist and/or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Breast and Bone Density Imaging while adhering todepartment protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients,self and others.
• Performs a variety of exams including Breast and Bone Density imaging. Evaluates images for technicalquality. Performs post processing of data and ensures proper patient identification is recorded.
• Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their proceduresand exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
• Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care.
• Identifies and responds toemergency situations in an appropriate manner.
• Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies.
• Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Accredited Program Radiologic Technology

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)

Required Minimum Experience
