Job summary

The Mammography Technologist role at Wellstar Health System involves performing screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams, under a Radiologist or Manager, ensuring ALARA principles and patient safety.

Requires accredited Radiologic Technology education, ARRT Mammography and Radiography credentials, and 2+ years radiography experience with at least 1 year in breast imaging. Sign-on and relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Ability to operate radiographic equipment and communicate effectively.
• Strong patient service and safety orientation for breast imaging.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in Breast and Bone Density Imaging and adheres to ALARA.
• Performs Breast and Bone Density imaging exams and evaluates image quality.
• Performs post-processing and ensures correct patient identification.
• Provides patient-centered care and adheres to safety and aseptic protocols.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
