Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist for the West Region Float Team who will perform MRI exams across multiple facilities with a focus on safety and patient comfort.

The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to utilize full skill sets in a high-volume imaging environment. The position requires ARRT-MR and ARRT-R certifications, plus BLS, with at least two years of hospital Radiologic Technologist experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-MR, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and produce diagnostic-quality images per established protocols.
• Verify orders, collect relevant clinical history, complete MRI safety screening, and assess contraindications.
• Confirm patient identity per policy; ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and required markers.
• Prepare patients for exams; explain procedures using AIDET and maintain privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Apply MRI safety practices at all times (magnet safety, access control, hearing protection, safety devices).
