Norton Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide precise imaging of breast anatomy with a focus on patient comfort and safety in the Louisville area. You will apply expert positioning, imaging techniques, and quality control while communicating clearly with patients to ease anxiety.

Responsibilities include supervising students during patient care, adhering to radiation safety standards, infection control, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification required; ARRT-M within 1 year of hire.
• RO license and ARRT-R required.
• ROT license and ARRT-R prior to expiration with ARRT-M within 1 year of hire.
• Desired: One year mammography.

Responsibilities

The role of Mammography Technologist must demonstrate thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. They must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the exam and relieve their anxiety. They must demonstrate an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. They must demonstrate the ability to supervise students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
