Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program and ARRT eligible/credentialed.
• ARRT certification in Radiology and ARRT Mammography within six months of hire.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must meet MQSA mammography training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and armband before imaging.
• Review mammography history and correlate prior exams.
• Acquire digital images and manage display, archiving, and retrieval.
• Evaluate image quality and consult a radiologist as needed.
• Assist radiologist during procedures with sterile technique.
• Report equipment malfunctions and perform routine troubleshooting.
• Maintain patient records, orders, charges, and PACS transfers.
