Job summary

Advocate Health in Macon, GA, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography to support the Breast Center. You will verify patient identity, review history, and perform high-quality digital imaging under radiologist guidance.

The role requires ARRT Radiology certification with MQSA mammography training within six months of hire and BLS. Expect 40 hours/week, full-time, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology required; advanced mammography registry within six months of hire.
• BLS required.
• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA and ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology; MQSA mammography training completed.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient ID armband and validates proof of identity.
• Reviews mammography history and correlates prior studies.
• Performs digital imaging acquisition and ensures image quality for PACS.
• Evaluates image quality and consults radiologist as needed.
• Assists radiologist during procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Reports equipment issues and assists with troubleshooting.
• Maintains accurate patient records and charges appropriately.
