Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology and MQSA requirements not later than six months from hire.
• Graduate of a two-year AMA & ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient ID armband and proof of identity.
• Reviews mammography history and correlates prior exams for correct procedure.
• Performs digital imaging and manages image acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval.
• Evaluates image quality and consults radiologist as needed.
• Assists radiologist during procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to the supervisor and coordinates with clinical engineering.
