Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA Approved Program in Radiologic Technology.
• 1-2 years radiologic technologist experience preferred.
• 40 hours of specialized training in mammography.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy and imaging safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms and bone density testing per MQSA Quality Guidelines.
• Delivers patient care per department/hospital standards and adapts to patient needs.
• Documents patient images electronically in RIS or PACS.
• Positions the breast to obtain standard and alternate views.
• Applies radiation protection and ensures safety throughout the exam.
