Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join the Breast Imaging team. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, bone density tests, and advanced procedures with MQSA standards.

You will work in a patient-centered environment focused on women's health with a supportive leadership team. The position offers a full-time first shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), sign-on bonus eligibility, and benefits starting day one, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle anxious and fearful patients.
• Demonstrated technical skills as a radiographer with mammography positioning knowledge.
• Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• 4-20 hours of ongoing mammography education and breast anatomy knowledge (as implied).

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms and bone density testing per MQSA guidelines.
• Delivers patient care according to department/hospital standards and adapts to needs.
• Documents patient images electronically and uses RIS/Penrad systems.
• Positions the breast for standard and alternative views and adjusts technique as needed.
• Maintains safety and radiation protection per standards; explains procedures to patients.
• Prepares and processes patient information in RIS or Penrad; ensures accuracy.
• Speaks with radiologists and ensures images are ready for dictation and reporting.
