Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independence, ensuring image quality and patient safety. You will position patients, review orders, and educate patients on the procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities include preparing contrast media, monitoring patients, selecting exposure factors, and performing quality control on equipment. You may troubleshoot equipment and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
• ARRT registered (RT) in radiography (R)

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently. Analyze results and resolve image quality issues.
• Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patient regarding procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; perform quality control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
