Job summary

Highmark Health in the Canonsburg area seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring high image quality and patient safety. You will independently position patients, select exposure factors, and optimize results for accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, educating patients about procedures, handling contrast as permitted, and reporting results while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• ARRT(R) or NMTCB(CNMT) certification required at hire.
• CT certification or CT experience preferred within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently.
• Analyze results and resolve image quality issues; reimage as needed.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results; review orders and histories.
• Educate patient about procedures, equipment and exams; obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast/media within scope; monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment, set exposure factors, ensure safety and QC procedures.
