Job summary

Allegheny Health Network within Highmark Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independence and professional judgment. The role requires ARRT Radiography (R) or MR technologist certification and patient-focused communication.

Responsibilities include patient prep, history review, contrast administration when appropriate, and quality control to ensure accurate results. Sign-on bonus offered with a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• ARRT Radiography (R) or MR certification required.
• If ARRT(R) is the only certification MRI certification within 18 months from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure independently; analyzes results and resolves imaging quality issues.
• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient about procedures and exam.
• Prepares and may administer contrast media and/or medications within scope; monitors patient condition.
• Prepares equipment and selects exposure factors; ensures safety and performs quality control.
