Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of Mammography procedures and positions.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Familiarity with MQSA and ACR regulations.
• Ability to review prior images and identify area of interest.
• Experience with needle localizations, stereotactic core biopsies, and seed implants.
• Ability to train other Mammography Technologists in special procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes.
• Maintains documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Performs high-quality examinations per orders and protocols.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean and stocked; equipment safety checks.
• Supports breast center initiatives and accreditation prep.
• Follows patient identification, consent, and time-out protocols.
