AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist with mammography expertise to perform high-quality imaging and ensure patient safety. The role involves coordination with radiologists, adherence to MQSA/ACR guidelines, and accurate documentation within EMR/PACS.

You will support breast center initiatives, participate in quality improvement, and maintain equipment and patient care standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA/ACR regulations.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to perform exams under pressure and maintain organization.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls and biopsy scheduling.
• Supports breast center initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
• Performs high-quality examinations per provider orders and protocols.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and equipment is safe.
• Notifies staff when inventory is low and conducts daily QC checks.
• Positions patients and operates mammography equipment for optimal images.
• Explains procedures clearly and addresses questions with professionalism.
• Follows MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines and testing requirements.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team for timely results.
