Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO seeks a part-time Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging, coordinate with radiologists, and ensure strict adherence to MQSA and ACR guidelines.

You will assist with recalls, biopsy scheduling, and patient comfort, while maintaining EMR/PACS documentation and supporting accreditation activities. Strong English, teamwork, and technical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mammography procedures and positions.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Knowledge of MQSA and ACR regulations.
• Ability to review prior images/films and distinguish area of interest.
• Ability to perform needle localizations, stereotactic core biopsies, and seed implants.
• Ability to train other Mammography Technologists in special procedures.
• Ability to work well with radiologists, nursing and surgical staff.
• Must read, write, speak English adequately.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, imaging coordination, and scheduling.
• Maintains accurate documentation within the EMR and PACS.
• Performs high-quality examinations according to orders and protocols.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, stocked, and ensures equipment safety checks.
• Supports breast center initiatives and accreditation preparation.
• Follows MQSA/ACR guidelines and tests equipment.
• Positions patients and operates mammography equipment for optimal images.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team for timely results.
